Monday 1/14

Sunday started off real foggy but soon it lifted and the sun came out.
After lunch it was real warm so I gave Carrie her first fly casting lesson. I had given her one of my rods for christmas. She did a lot better than my first attempts years ago but then I didn't have a teacher.
I finally went to Wintergreen to a casting demo by Lefty Kreh who is one of the best. It really helped me get started, kind of an OH! moment. So anyway I let her get a feel of it for awhile and then I finally found an old vhs tape by Kreh so we watched that.
I also plan on showing her how to tie flies and by late spring we should be ready for a fishing trip.
Monday is warm with drizzle and fog in the valley. Wet and mud so I am in town to get some things done on the computer and groceries.

    1. I will clean off my fly tying desk and get her started tying soon. It isn't very hard especially if you have small fingers.

    1. Yes but it is raining now! Supposed to get cold again. I went to blackdog and took a lot of B&W shots there but haven't put them on the computer yet, great place for photos.

  4. great pics. we've had lots of fog this past week too. it ate all the snow up and thawed the ground. but we usually have a january thaw, even if it's in february! today took a lot of time for the sun to burn through the fog but it did and it's beautiful out!
