One of the barn cats in action, slipping around some equipment. She is covered in dirt from rolling in it, guess it masks her scent or something.
It was real cold Monday morning and Ernie the rooster just got down on the ground in the sun and closed his eyes. Probably dozed off as he was up a few minutes later servicing one of his hens. Sly devil, she probably went over to see if he was dead and got nailed.
Our renter is getting married and moving so he asked if I wanted these neat old chairs and of course I said yes. I sat them in front of the wall of wood and took a photo. One was too hard, one was too soft and the middle one was just right.
The snow was coming across the blue ridge this morning but we never got any, just some sprinkles off and on through out the day.
I got a call this morning from the bunny hunters and got invited to a bunny lunch over near burnt chimney. I went over and had the best food that I can remember in recent times. Bunnys R Goooood!
It was partly cloudy at the afternoon bus.
great chairs and a really sneaky rooster. those men!
ReplyDeleteHe never goes off half cocked!
DeleteLOL...Now I'll have to watch out whenever SM is taking a snooze. Those sly devils...LOL
ReplyDeleteAh the game of love.
DeleteRoo's are opportunistic creeps LOL!!! Love the chairs and I can't wait to start my meat rabbit project. I've never ate rabbit, but I heard it tastes like chicken!
ReplyDeleteThese guys really knew how to cook, I am not up to there skill level yet.
DeleteI just let in one of my cats and he was completely covered in dirt and debris. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever had rabbit.
It wasn't as fat as chicken, mild compared to something like squirrel (tree rats).
Deleteohhhh that ernie...bet she doesn't fall for that one again lol...love those chairs! my grandpa used to hunt rabbit when we would be out camping and cook it on the grill...i remember liking it. i did have a little bunny that i kept at his house and came to visit one day and noticed his wheelbarrow filled with blood and my bunny was missing. i asked him where my bunny was and why there was blood in the wheelbarrow. he told me my bunny got away and he had cut his hand...i was very suspicious...then it was lunch time...stew...my little cousin kept saying "tanya bunny, tanya bunny"...yeah, my grandpa fattened my little bunny up and then couldn't resist him any longer...i don't remember eating the bunny stew.
ReplyDeleteSounds like grandpa knew how to cook bunny, he tried the old cut hand story but that one never works. I am not sure about raising rabbits as they would become pets and hard to eat.
